Understanding ElMod & What You Need To Get Started

ElMod is a stand alone drive, sound and battle system for rc tanks. There are a number of different boards to choose from and some people find it hard to decide on which ones they need to buy to suit their needs. I want to clarify what does what and how ElMod works.
ElMod Fusion boards are the newest design and are now all integrated for functions and sound. Simply choose which of the two fits your need and you will have the ultra realistic experience of controlling a tank, the way it should be, heavy and lumbering, with all the sounds of these glorious beasts. Every board comes with a USB cable so that you can hook up to your pc and adjust all the parameters, including recoil speed, sounds, added user sounds, volume of individual sounds, acceleration, braking (yes elmod adds brakes to the tank), top speed, shift points to simulate the tank shifting through gears, and many other things as well. This is the ultimate rc tank experience. Fusion also offers the user the ability to add external ESC's so you can use any motors you want for your tank. Simply hook the esc's to the board and continue with your setup procedures. With this feature, it is now possible to use an elmod board in any scale tank you like. This system is true hobby grade and it is simple to set up. But it offers the ability to get in to the system and make it unique with the PC configurator. If you are planning to battle with a club or for fun, you will also need to purchase the CSI module. This is the battlesystem for ElMod and it is compatible with Tamiya systems.  We also offer a Tamiya adapter so that you can use a Tamiya Apple in place of the ElMod version. Simply put, you can install it, and fight IR battles against other ElMod or Tamiya tanks.  It consists of the board, IR emitter lamp, reciever base, and reciever. It is also available without the reciever if you have one already or have no use for multiples. One more thing that sets ElMod apart fromt he rest is the fact that it incorporates realistic battle options. If you are battling in an all ElMod battles, you can set the system so that it can take random hits. This means that one shot may damage the tracks or the turret and it might even take out a tank in one hit, no matter if the tank was hit previously or not. It makes battling much more exciting because you never know if this hit is your last. Other systems do not have this feature. It can be turned on and off so you can be on a level playing field against other systems.

ElMod FusionX is the logical further development of our bestseller ElMod Fusion PRO.
This central unit is designed for 1:16 military vehicles with full track drive or wheel steering. With the help of an expansion board, wheel-steered models with up to three steering axles can also be controlled.

Drive

Lighting

ElMod FX Expander expands an ElMod FusionX or an
ElMod 4WD to include turn signal functionality, three additional switchable light sources, and three servo connections.
