Welcome to J&M Armor Creations. We have been building RC tanks for quite a few years now. We thoroughly enjoy this hobby and the people in it. We both belong to a club in our own area, and we sometimes travel to Danville Virginia to participate in organized IR battles at the AAF Tank Museum. They have an indoor battlefield there which hosts many events throughout the year. If you haven't been there you have been missing a grand time. On our own, we use an outdoor field to have our own club battle days. It is there we talk shop, and test out tanks, as well as compete in battles. What we have found is that some people prefer to build tanks, while others prefer to have someone else do it for them, so they can simply go out and enjoy running and battling without having to do much more that some routine maintenance. That is why we started this page. There are some very good vendors out there for this hobby, but few of them offer anything more than selling parts. Our services include building a tank kit, complete with electronics packages, whether it is an out the box tamiya kit, or a conversion that you would rather not do yourself, We can install electronics upon request if they are not included in the kit. ElMod is available through us, or you can opt to have something else installed. Please look through our pages at the top, and drop down menus for services and items available. There are many options on the market today, and all have their place in the hobby. If you are unsure of what to use, contact us and ask some questions. We will inform you of the options and what will best fit your needs. You can get anything from a low level tank to do some backyard driving, a full out competition ready tank, or anything in between. If you want a tank painted, we can also do that for you. All paintwork is done professionally with any amount of weathering you desire, and it can be anything from a factory fresh finish, to a weathered veteran that has seen many battles. Please check our photos for tanks that we have painted for ourselves and others here. It doesn't get any more realistic than our tanks. No disappointments. Watch the video below to see a few examples of tanks I have built using El-Mod to power them. Control everything from how the recoil functions to the smoke unit output at different stages of the vehicle running. One unit that truly does it all. Also remember that you can use these boards to drive external ESC's if you want to run a large scale tank with it.

This tank has been a work in progress for a few years, though I must say it has not been consistent. I have worked on it between other projects as time would allow. Many of the parts are hand made including all the fenders and mirrors and misc details on the vehicle hull. Inside the turret all of the parts for the barrel movements have been made as well from brass. It has servo recoil and a custom elevation motor. It also has Elmod Fusion as a control board. The tank is not finished yet as of the time of these photos, but it does finally have some paint on it and is progressing. More to come...

See El-Mod's ability to program smoke output below!
Unleash the power of El-Mod Fusion and make your tank unique. This video shows how a smoke unit can now be programmed using your PC connected to El-Mod boards. This means you can have total control over how the smoke unit reacts in your tank, and make it realistic to the tank you decide to add it to. If it's a gasoline engine, my personal preference is to set it up similar to this one, as they would not smoke much unless they are first started, or perhaps under engine load. This is usually because of a rich mixture...but most tanks using smoke systems appear to have engine problems the way they smoke. I happen to be a specialist in automotive diagnostics, so yes, I know what I'm talking about. Now, if it is a diesel engine, then the smoker can be set to smoke more, which is characteristic of these engines in those days. Even perhaps the radial engines. So, you now have the ability to control how you want the smoke unit to work. Of course, you also have the ability to program all sorts of other parameters to make the tank unique and realistic as well. Programming the system is simple, and requires only the download of free software from El-Mod's website and the included USB cable. El-Mod is the ultimate in 1/16 RC tanks.
